How do I purchase an Electronic Device Insurance?
When purchasing new electronic goods,
you can opt for an Electronic Device Insurance from Alliance Insurance Corporation (T) Ltd at any Benson & Company Store.
What does the Electronic Device Insurance cover?
Fire, Burglary, Accidental damage and an extension of Electronic Damage but shall exclude all liabilities that are covered under product warranty.
Process of Claiming Insurance
For General Claims
1. The followingare to be submitted:
Certificate of Insurance, Filled Claim Form, Job
Sheet (to be collected from Benson & Company)

all your claims.

For Theft Claims
1. The insured should file a police report with the
nearest police station as soon as the item is stolen.
2. Limited to theft of mobile phone only:
In addition to filing a police report, the insure
should either go to the Cyber Division to track the
phone or visit his/her carrier to block the handset.
3. The following are to be submitted:
Certificate of Insurance, Police Report, Purchase
Receipt, Filled Claim Form, Letter from the telecom
Company confirming receipt of request for
blocking the phone.
Terms & Conditions
1. The insurance cover shall be governed by the attached policy wordings
2. Insurance cover is in effect for one year from the date of sale. There shall be no renewal period of insurance.
3. This cover is only applicable for residents and Tanzanian citizens.
4. All repairs must be carried out by Benson & Company.
5. Accessories purchased with the product, if any, are not covered.
6. In the event of a total loss claim any amount payable shall be made directly in the name of the owner of the product.
7. In the event of a partial loss claim any amount payable shall be made directly to Benson & Company Limited.
8. In case of total loss of the item, an excess (deductible) of 25% on the replacement value of a similar as on the date of loss, will be deducted from admissible claim amount.
9. For partial losses, the excess (deductible) shall be 10% subject to a minimum of 150,000TSH
