–Snapdragon 712 chipset powers the Mi 9 SE. This Xiaomi phone is the world’s first smartphone to come with Snapdragon 712 chipset. For the price the Mi 9 SE with such a powerful processor is a great deal.

–Android 9 Pie. All the Mi 9 series phones Xiaomi launched in China on Wednesday – Mi 9, Mi 9 transparent edition, and Mi 9 SE – run on Google’s latest Android version aka Android 9 Pie. The Pie software, however, has been customised with Xiaomi’s own MIUI 10 UI.

–48MP rear camera. The Mi 9 comes with triple cameras, and the Mi 9 SE which is almost double the price also packs a triple camera system on the back panel. The Mi 9 SE comes with a 48MP primary camera paired with f/1.75 aperture, second is a f/2.4 telephoto lens, and third camera consists of a 13MP super wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture.

–In-display fingerprint sensor. Notably, similar to the Mi 9, the Mi 9 SE also includes the fingerprint sensor beneath the display. It is great to see such an affordable smartphone come with under-display fingerprint sensor technology.

–Supports fast charging. The Mi 9 comes packed with a 3,070mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
